Legal Question in Family Law in California

Nulification of Spousal Support

My husband was divorced in California 16 years ago. The divorce decree stated he had to pay spousal support to his ex-wife, now $750.00 a month and ceases only after marriage or death of his ex-wife. She has been gainfully employed for 15 years and co-habitating with another man for 15 years and will not get married because she will lose the spousal support of $750.00 per month. My question is, can my husband take her back to court and have the spousal support nulified and rendered void? Will he have a chance to prevail under California law? He is approaching retirement age and $750.00 is quite a hardship for us to bear. Thank you.
