Am I obligated to provide health insurance for my ex wife after separation?

You are obligated to maintain her on your health insurance until the marriage is dissolved. Once the marriage is dissolved she will no longer be eligible for coverage on your medical insurance. At that time she will have to obtain insurance either through her employer or an individual policy. If maintaining her on your medical policy is costly you should investigate individual policies that are available. Then obtain her written agreement to drop her from your medical policy and instate her individual policy. If she will not agree then you should file a motion with the court and request an order allowing you to drop her from your policy and replace it with another policy.
