Legal Question in Family Law in California

Obtaining Full Custody

My ex and I for a long time had a verbal agreement with 50/50 custody. Last year we had it actually filed in the courts. Now he is trying to take time away from me and we will have to go back. He says since 50/50 has been how we have done it for so long that I wouldn't ever get full. When that is all that I want but he scares me out of it. Would our situation hinder me getting full custody if I go for it? Thanks for your help.

Re: Obtaining Full Custody

If both parents are good parents, courts will likely not grant full physical and legal custody. Need more facts to consider. 800-685-6950

Re: Obtaining Full Custody

Reducing the amount of visitation is similar to reducing your offer to purchase an item. You will need a good explanation for a requesting the amount of visitation. Each case turns on its woen facts. therefore a full disclosure of the facts with an attorney would be necessary to evaluate your case.
