Legal Question in Family Law in California

I haven't seen my oldest son since he was 10yrs old. His mom has all custody rights, and a restraining order against me for the past 3-4 yrs, expire 2011. I've stayed away cause of that, even moved to another city. My son is 17yrs old, and graduating next month. I found out through my relatives who communicate with him weekly that he wants to see me, and wants me to attend his graduation June 11th, also to meet his girlfriend. I really want to go & not dissapoint him, but I do not want any problems from his mom, she's crazy. Is there anything I can do just to attend it for 1-2 hours with someone? Please help, what do I do?

You need to file a motion in the court that issued the restraining order for a temporary modification.

I agree with Mr. McCormick. You are going to have to have the court modify the restraining order, and I would not do anything until that has taken place, otherwise you are in violation of the restraining order and can get into a lot of trouble.
