Legal Question in Family Law in California

Order to Show Cause

How much will it cost me to file an Order to Show Cause? Is it too expensive? Like how much would it be all the cost since the filing, the package, everything?

Is it too difficult to fill out? Can I do it myself?

Do I have to file together with the divorce? I mean I think that I have a case in the court but I am not sure it is active? I havent sign anything. Or can I file the Order to Show Cause separate from the divorce?

Re: Order to Show Cause

In order to file an OSC, you will have to pay an appearance fee (about $320), and the filing fee for the OSC, which is $40. The documents aren't difficult to fill out, but you have to be careful how to say what you want to say.
