Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was ordered to pay alimony to me ex, back in 1995 and I have done it since then, my ex was not working at that time and she was receiving welfare, today things have changed. This is my question

do you have to pay alimony to a spouse that it is receiving social security benefits, desabilty to be specific on my social security account? She has filed for desability with the SSA.. please advise, she did not marry again.. I did..

Unless the order terminates support at a certain date or says that you don't have to pay if she started receiving social security benefits, or disability; you have to pay! The only thing you can do is go into court or on Order to Show Cause requesting that support be modified. The court will look at the change of circumstances since the last order and keep the same order or make a new one.
