Legal Question in Family Law in California

Who owes what years later?

I divorced my wife in 1998. She had custody. I made partial alimony and

child support payments for one year. She moved out of state. Then she

remarried and gave up the kids. I have had our kids since. She has never

provided one cent of support in the past five years. Even when the

children went back to see her during holidays I paid the airfare. She

never works. All children are under 18. Ex has since divorced. My

alimony stopped when she remarried. Now 5 years later she is trying to

take me to court to get back child support/alimony that I missed during

the first year she had the children. In addition she is claiming tens of

thousands of dollars because she filed bankruptcy. Can she do this? Is

there a stutute of limitations? and if not would a judge grant her this

money?
