Ownership of gift

My boyfriend gave me a large utility vehicle as a giftfor xmas last year. He broke off our relationship in april of this year and is now demanding i give the gift back since he still owes money on it. The vehicle is registered in his name because of the loan. Do i legally have to give it back to him?

Yes ... the vehicle is registered in his name which means he is the legal owner.
