Legal Question in Family Law in California

On paper we're still married. Neither one of us has filed for divorce. It's been 12 years since we've lived as man & wife. I bought a house in May, 2019. If I file for divorce now, will he be entitled to any part of my home? He is unaware of my purchasing a home as we have no communication.

Without knowing any more than just the facts as presented, it was suggest that the residence you purchased would be your separate property however if you used money or resources that you earned during the course of the marriage to buy the residence, the outcome would be entirely different where there could be a community nature to the property.
