Legal Question in Family Law in California

Parental Rights for Out of Control Teenager

I have an out of control male teenager that has dropped out of home school, comes and goes when he pleases, uses drugs and alcohol, and very disrespectful and hostile. I have a teenager daughter and a 9 year old daughter that don't need to see this nor deal with the harassment (verbal) from their brother. He has stolen from our house and broke into a locked refrigerator to take our alcohol.

I have looked for programs available to assist him and only find counseling that he refuses to go to and looked into sending him to a military school and he runs. I am at my wits end. What can I do?

Report his theft to the police and insist that they refver the matter to the district attorney and that charges be filed against him. He should then be arraigned in juvenile court. He will then be forced to participate in a program. You will have to be prepared to participate in counseling with him to work out the problems he is facing.
