parental rights
a friend of mine signed papers 4 yrs ago giving him the right to be the childs father but the child wasnt his, just had dna testing done to prove child not his and it should the child wasnt his, now the mom of the child still wants him to pay child support, is there way he cant be held responsible for child support?

There have been quite a bit of litigation and appeals on this issue over the last few years. The law is a little murky in this area, but it still seems to turn on the question of what is in the best interest of the child. If the child is mature enough to believe you are its father and the child has developed a bond with you, you probably will not be able to set aside the judgment. However, if you can show no such bond has been established, you may be able to set aside the judgment on the grounds of fraud. If the DA is involved, be ready for an expensive appeal.
