if I give up my parental rights do I still have to pay child support?

Giving up your parental rights has two meanings in today's world. One is where you agree not to have any contact with your child the other is where the court orders that your "parental rights" are terminated.
Until your parental rights are terminated by the court you must comply with child support orders -- whether already in place or put in place in the future.
Usually the only time parental rights are termianted is when the child is going to be adopted -- either by others or a step-parent.

Usually yes. However, if you are giving up your parental rights in order for the child to be adopted, then that should get you out of child support.
