Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can may parents take away my children?

I am a single mom raising two girls. At this time we are living in my mother and father's house. Things are not working out here and I need to move out. My mother and father are trying to keep my children here and are refusing to allow me to take them with me. Can they do this? What rights do both parties have?

Re: Can may parents take away my children?

The rights of a parent are paramount to the rights of grand parents, unless there is a court order giving the grand parents custodial rights.

You can move out and take your children.
