parent's rights regarding child after 18 years old

If the child is now the age of majority(18) and is an adult, the Family Law court no longer has jurisdiction over parenting. Exception to that could be if the child is still in high school and in that case the court is still involved until the child leaves high school or turns 19. Another exception is if you have a disabled adult child requiring parenting care.
