Legal Question in Family Law in California

As part of a divorce stipulation, my exhusband and I are ordered to be 50% responsible for the private school tuition and medical costs of our two children. He was terminated from his job and has stopped paying. What can I do? If I pay his 50% share, would he legally owe me? Or am I just at a loss? Please help...

A court can modify a child support agreement under circumstances like this. The court will determine if he will owe you in the future. Several variables will be considered. Was he laid off? Did he quit? Did he do something wrong that caused him to be fired?

These will effect your outcome.
