How do I get an ex parte to change child custody and visitation in California?

Draft the documents for a regular order to show cause and write "ex parte" at the top in the box. Give 24 hours notice to the other side and make sure you fill out a declaration of notice. Make sure you state in your declaration why you needed to go to court ex parte, what is the emergency.
