Re: ex parte
Someone is seeking emergency relief; often pertaining to child custody or a restraining order. Usually it is not a good thing for the person who is the Respondent and can have serious consequences including a move out order, an order to turn over custody of children, and an order to hand over all of one's firearms. Many judges hand out restraining orders like they are handing out candy. It is something to take very seriously. If it pertains to you, you probably require the assistance of an attorney.
