Legal Question in Family Law in California

My partner just got served with notice to appear in court for the reduction of her exhusband child support. He is asking for reduction from $1,300 to 261.

What steps are necessary?

File the responsive papers and show up in court. A blank inome and expense declaration should have been served with the motion or OSC to modify. The rest of the forms can be found at http://courtinfo.ca.gov under the forms tab on the pull down menus. There are lots of good books on the subject as well.

Of course she could also hire counsel, or retain counsel under a limited scope representation just to help with this one hearing.
