Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paternity

What actual forms do I have to file to establish paternity or a parental relationship and how can I get the court to order genetic testing to establish that I am in fact, the father of our son? She says I'm not and I know I am. Do I have to file a Petition to Establish Parental Relationship followed by an OSC requesting that the court order genetic testing? This is a Riverside County California jurisdiction. I appreciate any help I can get here. thanks.

Re: Paternity

You should check with the family law facilitator in your local court for self help information. Another option is to consult with a local attorney on a pay as and you go service. Paternity must be established prior to any order for child support and custody.

As always, please contact a qualified attorney prior to taking any legal action.

Good luck,
