Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paternity Dispute

My husband fathered another woman's baby although he is not the biological father. The biological father agreed with it. We do have some e-mails from the biological father discussing adoption stuff and the money with us. The birth mother signed a parental termination giving up her parental rights with full custody to my husband. She is now deceased.

Until what age the biological father can claim and take the kids away from us if he is proven to be the biological father

Re: Paternity Dispute

You have a real mess on your hands. The good news is that it can be solved and I would suggest that there is minimal risk that the bio dad can take the child. You need to go to an attorney to have this matter resolved. Go to an attorney who does adoptions. They can make sure that your husband is properly named the father and if not they can have it corrected. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
