Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paternity

Father had child out of wedlock when living in Massachusetts, about 7-8 yrs ago. Has been paying child support since, although now residing in California. Can the father have a court order for a paternity, although not living in the same state as child?

Re: Paternity

Obviously yes, as there is in fact a court order for paternity in existence already. If you mean to ask if there is anything you can do about the judgment now, it does not seem like it unless you recently discovered you are not the biological father. In that event, you may be able to set aside the judgment for paternity.
