Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paternity Fraud

When my ex-girlfriend got pregant she told me I was the father of the child. I took all the responsibly and put name

on the birth certicate as the father. We broke up a few months after the baby was born. That was 2 years ago but I'm still providing child support every month since then. Few week ago she told me that I was not the father of child. Can I still get back the money that I gave her ?

Re: Paternity Fraud

your best bet is to have a paternity test taken so you have substantial proof on your side. then if you can prove that your ex's statements regarding your paternity initially were fraudulent, you could have a cause of action to recover past payments along with terminating any current or future payments for child support. if you need further assistance, contact me.
