Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paternity Fraud

I helped raise a child since birth and had a relationship with even though I was not the custodial parent. On his 7th birthday I found out through DNA paternity testing I am not the biological father. Is it a lost battle to try and disestablish paternity and eliminate being a financial slave?? Is there legal recourse of any kind to make the biological father responsible, and the fraudulent mother?? I am now married and recently my wife gave birth to twins girls.

Re: Paternity Fraud

That depends upon whether there has been a judgment of paternity or a declaration of paternity that you have signed. You need to talk to a family law attorney and provide all of the information to that attorney who can give you a more complete analysis. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
