Legal Question in Family Law in California

Do I have to pay child support back to my ex, for the time I've been unemployed (due to no fault of my own) and not receiving unemployment or any source of income? I am not in arrears on my support.

Court ordered child support is payable until it is paid, whether you are unemployed or have no source of income for the payment. If you are unemployed you are required to file a motion to modify the support based upon your change in income. If you do not go back to court you owe the original amount regardless of your change of financial circumstance.
