If I already pay child support do I need to pay for medical and dental bills?

If your question concerns how medical costs not covered by insurance are treated by the court, the typical view is that the parents share equally in those expenses unless there s a great income disparity justifying a different allocation of those expenses between the parents.

Ms. Kock is correct. Unless there is a finding of a need to adjust the rule due to special circumstances, one parent will be ordered to maintain health insurance, which will be taken into account in setting the support figure, and then both parents share 50/50 in unreimbursed/uninsured medical and dental expenses. The parent who incurs the expenses, however, is required to request 50% reimbursement within 30 days of incurring the expense.
