Legal Question in Family Law in California
I pay $700 now - 13 y/o daughter failing school
I think I am getting hosed here...and I am not happy about my daughters situation...My Ex is married; her husband making $5k a month, she also gets $1500/mo from another ex for child support. My ex has NO JOB, has been going to school for 6 years now, AS MY DAUGHTER has a 1.1 GPA for the last 3 yrs of middle school, and may not graduate 8th grade. I have a $3k month salary; $1600/month State of Cal. Disability retirement, and $995/mo rental home income. I pay $85/mo for med./dental/vision insurance covering my daughters and myself. My mortgage payment in $1500 a month, with $200/month paying for life insurance with my daughters as beneficiarys. I am also paying $700 a month putting another daughter thru college in Hawaii. I am paying $200 a month for my share of an apartment to care for a terminally ill father dying of cancer 125 miles away every weekend I have off. My ex is making my life a living hell; will not let me be involved in school matters, or attempts to rectify my daughters grade situation. Her house is a cockroach infested, urine and filth stenched place that I cannot set foot in. My ex has 4 kids from 4 dads, I am 1 of those...she has a kid w/her husband....so,my question: How can I change this, or am I out of luck?

If the living conditions are as bad as you describe call CPS and report the conditions. CPS will most likely remove the children from the home.
