Paying off arrears

Can I offer a lump sum payoff for the arrears I owe? If so, and the both parents agree, can the DA oppose it?

Re: Paying off arrears

If the two of you agree and there are no arrears owed the county or state you can offer a lump sum and ask the court to accept the agreement even if the DA or Department of Child Support Services does not agree. They will need to approve any stipulation if done without court appearance, however, if they don't agree you will need to file a motion. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
