Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am paying child support and my childs mother will not let me see my son; I also think she may have went to a different state. I want to serve her with custody papers but since I can not get ahold of her, how do I go about doing that?. Can I do it through mail?

Answering your question is going to depend on whether you are paying support voluntarily or pursuant to a court order. That in turn is going to depend on whether you have a divorce petition filed or a paternity petition. If it is a paternity petition, then the question is whether it is a petition you filed or the mother filed, or a petition filed by the local child support enforcement agency. You are going to have to provide more detail.
