Legal Question in Family Law in California

I'm paying child support and my kids mom reported that she only makes 10.00 an hour. She's been telling me lately that she has the opprotunity to make 17.00 an hour but refuses to accept the position and hasnt been taking that position since it's been offered more than once. is there an order the court can issue that will prevent her from preventing her from readily available work when she can take it?

Yes. You can fike a motion asking the court to downward modify support and impute to your ex income based on $17 an hour. Be sure to have a detailed declaration filed with the court on the job available to your ex.

I agree with Ms. Kock. If you can prove that, you can ask the court to impute her income at the higher rate that she refuses.
