Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paying too much child support

I have been paying CS for 7 years now about $581 ea month. I have 0% custody of the child. The mother, I think is married w/two or three more kids. I have another child who I support w/everything who is in the same household w/my fiance. I make about $42000 gross per year. A lot based on commision. My vacation time from work is devastating because no commision, but they still take out the same CS ea month. Can I sign my rights away & stop paying CS. They make twice as much as me, I think. I have no contact, the mother does not want any contact, but she wants to keep getting money. Why can if be like I'm giving the child up for adoption. What are my rights? Or do I just have to pay CS till the child is 18 yrs of age.

Re: Paying too much child support

If someone wants to adopt your child, you can do that. Otherwise, I am not sure you can just abandon your obligation. Could be wrong.
