Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paying support but can not see my son

My ex-wife moved from CA to VA without changing our visitation order. Shortly after that I moved from CA to WI. She has now relocated back home to CA. I pay my support every month thur payroll deduction. I have been in contact w/ my ex to see my son. The current order doesn't work being 3000 miles apart. She tells me the current order is fine and thinks it is kind of funny. She knows I can not pay support, maint a life now and pay for a lawyer in CA at the same time. She has remarried move in to a very expensive home had more kids and has a company lawyer to assist her needs at a ruduced rate. If she will not like me see her why do I have to pay? I would rather have normal, reasonable time, but she will never agree or attempt to make anything work. This bank of Dad thing has grown old. I don't know who can help or how I will pay but something has to change. Many 8 yr old kids would love to spend time with their dads, and this dad would love spent time with his son.

Re: Paying support but

You will either have to hire an atty, represent yourself in California proceedings or move back to California.

Her new husband's income MIGHT be counted towards support if it is such that it allows her to not work. That could result in lower child support and/or consideration of your travel expenses.
