Penuptial agreement

In the state of California, when I marry my fiancee if we get a prenuptial agreement will that prevent her ex-spouse from being able to lower the child support payment?

The prenuptual agreement will affect child support only as it and the marriage affect the your new spouse's "net pay", that is her tax filing status. Your income and assets will not affect her guideline child support calculation except as it affects her "net pay". Good Luck, Pat McCrary

A pre-nuptial agreement has nothing to do with the amount of child support your fiance's ex will pay. Child support amounts are set in accordance with the Uniform Child Support Guideline.
