Legal Question in Family Law in California
I am a permanent resident in the US.
I have been married for 6 years now and have a 3 yr old son.
For some work related reasons, I had to travel back to my own country where I am current present. My wife and son are still in the US. Son was born in the US and wife is a permanent resident.
My marriage has been very rocky unfortunately and I believe that my wife will file for divorce.
I have a travelling job. Will that get affected if she files for divorce? Will I be able to travel internationally while the divorce is being worked out?

Your ability to travel will only be affected to the extent that you may have a court appearance. Courts do allow a telephonic appearance if you request it in advance. This can be done by calling the court. Your custodial rights to your son may be an issue because you travel and that may make visitations difficult.
