Legal Question in Family Law in California

If a person gets married before previous marriage is final is that person legally married to current person and if no what are the laws on common law marriage in the state of california

If a person is still married when they remarry, the second marriage is totally void and if it was intentional that they married while still married to another person it is a crime. There is no common law marriage in California. It was abolished in the late 1800's or early 1900's.
