Legal Question in Family Law in California

Right to Personal Medical Records

Is there legal recourse if a parent withholds significant childhood medical information and records from their adult offspring?

If so, how can I go about researching this information?

Thank You.

Re: Right to Personal Medical Records

No recourse I know of. You might try to get the medical records from the provider.

Re: Right to Personal Medical Records

The law requires the medical provider to give the records to a patients lawyer upon request. Any lawyer can get the records from the provider if the provider still has them. if you need a lawyer to do this feel free to give me a call.
