Legal Question in Family Law in California
petition withdrawal
If the plaintiff wants to withdraw the petition, does he/she need to file something or just does not appear in the court to get the case dismissed. If this case, the respondent has to appear in the court?

Re: petition withdrawal
You can voluntarily dismiss the case or, if you take no further action, the court will dismiss the case. In neither event would the Respondent have to appear.
