Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband has been on active duty for the past 3 years. he has never shared with my household expenses. He has his property and we have never lived in his house. He does not contribute to the children or to me. Now he is getting ready to leave his active duty assignment and wants a postnuptual agreement. He has been living with me since approx 1992 and we were married in 1998. He has anger management issues and has lost the respect of my children. He is verbally abusive and controlling and I have told him that I am not going to argue anymore or defend my I work.
