Pre-marriage debt

If I marry a woman with pre-existing consumer debt can they come after me? California

Re: Pre-marriage debt

The creditors must first go after her separate property, then community property to satisfy the debt. If she is employed they will first go after her wages. Any account which has her name appears will be subject to a writ of attachment.
