Legal Question in Family Law in California

prenauptial agreement

I plan on getting married soon, and I need to draw a prenauptial agreement.

*Do I necessarily need a lawyer?

*How valid are private agreements, without lawyers?

*Is it possible to keep all debts and as well as assets acquired prior to marriage seperate?

Reply: prenauptial agreement

Pre Nuptial Agreements are complicated and should be drafted by an attorney who has expertise with them.

It would be to your benefit to consult with an experienced family law lawyer who is familiar with relevant family code sections and case law pertaining to these agreements.

Good luck to you.
