Legal Question in Family Law in California

Pre-nuptial agreement and infidelity

I would like to know if a prenuptial agreement kit is safe and effective. My fiance and I do not have huge assets, we primarily want one because of no-fault divorces. So if one of us cheats, the other (and our future children) would be financially taken care of and a divorce might be faster if that was needed.

Re: Pre-nuptial agreement and infidelity

California is a no fault state. That means you can end your marriage without proving fault. A prenupt will not help in that respect. In fact, they are not favored by the courts. If you want one, get specific advice from an attorney in your area. Don't rely on this forum.

You should get a custom pre-nuptial agreement drafted by an attorney. I charge around $500 to do one.
