How to present last minute letters of affidavit to judge before hearing 12/14
We have a custody dispute matter also involving homeschooling which the biological mom is contesting with regard to accreditation. We have letters of affidavit from our Christian ISP (Independent Study Program) and other homeschoolers that support our stance. How can we request to have these admitted to court for the judge to review before or during the court hearing set on 12/14? Apparently, after one mediation with the ex-wife and another with just the children, the judge has already reviewed the mediator's report. We are expecting a judgment on 12/14; however, my husband feels he has not had much opportunity to present all the facts in this case before the judge. Should we ask for a continuance in this case?

It is probably too late to file the papers with the court unless you ask for a continuance, which you may have a right to if the mediators report was not received by you prior to 12/1/06. You should retain an attorney on this very important issue. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
