Legal Question in Family Law in California

pressed for time, relocation

I filed for divorcein 04. After going through numerous classification conferences, family law facilitators, and rescheduled again. Then in 05 it was dismissed because i missed 1 court date.

I then refiled Nov. 11th,05. After 30 days I filed 'Judgement Papers' only to have them returned, request denied.

I have been doing this for almost 3 years.

Haven't gotten anywhere.

I have been engaged to my fiance'for almost all of this time. He relocated to Florida 15 months ago and has been waiting patiently for my son and I to join him.

I can't wait anymore and put my son's and my life on hold any more.

In 3 weeks we are relocating to Florida.

I recieved in the mail a notice of a hearing on Feb. 22,06, before I could refile the amendments made to the judgement papers.

I am leaving on the 12th of feb.

Is there any way to hire an attorney to handle the rest of my case on my behalf and to finish it once and for all?

And how much would such services cost?

Even if you weren't going to Florida I would urge you to find a lawyer to help you. Get a referal to someone in that area (I'm not). there are low fee/sliding scale programs if you don't qualify for legal aid (free) or don't have time to wait.

At $ 220.00 hour, no more than the initial deposit of $ 750.00 should do it. Call me directly at 16192223504.
