Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am in pro per waiting for the judge to enter my request for judgement, so far Ive been waiting 25 days. I called the secy to inquire and was told not to expect anything till March. Do courts/judges have to follow any rules such as how long to get their work out?

Judges cannot have any matter under submission for more than 90 days. Their is a form they fill out to get paid, in which they state whether or not they have had any matters under submission for more than 90 days. I don't think a default judgment package that you deliver to the court qualifies under this, but have not researched it anytime recently.

The time period you are waiting is normal. A lot of court services are limited right now due to budget constraints, and the judges and court staff who are present are incredibly overloaded. You should be patient, as law involves issues of due process, and is not a vending machine.
