Legal Question in Family Law in California

We are in process of getting a divorce. We have a court date, but today my husband ( who does not live with me or the children and hasnt in 3 years) said he bought a house and want the children to live with him. What can I tell him. He has been abusive and I have police reports.

If you do not have one, you need to get an attorney. Issues of custody and visiting agreements can be very challenging. Also if there is a history of inappropriate behavior, you will want to have an advocate to assist. The issues of abuse and use of documentation, such as police reports have to be presented very carefully.
