what professional or legal advocate or organization can help me in family court other than an attorney. I cant afford an attorney. I want to keep my 2 yr old daughter in my care (physical custody) while I go through drug treatment program. Her best interest in to be with me. She is losing her hair and biting her nails, she is scared of everything. During visits if anyone approaches us she hides behind me or buries her head in my neck if iam holding her. She shows constant fear of the anticipation of me leaving. Her behavior has show huge signs of separation anxiety. This is proven research being most sensitive to children under two.

Are you sure that the cause of her insecurity isn't the fact that you use drugs and the lifestyle that has forced on her? I am not trying to be judgmental. I often see addicts use "I can't leave my child" as an excuse for not going to get help to get clean and sober. Please, get help. Any separation she experiences will be much less traumatic than going through life with a mother that doesn't get help. If you care about your child, care about giving her the best chance at life that you can give her.
