Property division

Couple bought home ''72'', for 25,000. They divorce in ''82''. She waives any support for her and the one child they had together, he signs off deed. She remarries in 86, and her son lives in home with them till he is 18, ''94''. House balance at time of ''86'' marriage was 16,000. After 21 years of marriage husband files for divorce ''07'' No up grade on house since 72 other then new roof. House sales falling. Home valued at about 375,000 as is. How is the division done in this case. Help.

There is probably a community property interest in the house. The amount of such interest, if any, will depend upon the facts of your case. You need to consult with an attorney regarding the value of the property.
