Legal Question in Family Law in California

Property division

I have filed for divorce. We are still living together. The house is to be sold and proceeds split. My question; When do we sell the house and are we required to wait for the judge to make a judgement? We are going our separate ways but require the proceeds of the sale to move.

Re: Property division

You can sell your home without a court order, so long as both of you agree on the terms of the sale and the division of the net proceeds. In fact you can divide all of your property and settle all of the support issues etc, without a court order. Only the actual dissolving of the marriage requires the action of the court.
