Property division

I have been separated for 10yrs, and have solely maintained the home we bought. We have filed for divorce and he wants half of it's value, though he has made no contributions. In Ca. will he be awarded half the property?

The house was purchased during the marriage and is presumed to be community property. Community property must be divided equally. You may however, be entitled to offsets for the money that you paid for maintenance etc aster the date of separation.You should consult with an attorney regarding the facts and any possible offsets available to you.
