Legal Question in Family Law in California

Protecting my child

Just how far can one go in terms of pushing the details of a court order before action can be taken to make that party accountable for their actions? ie: Order to keep a child away from someone, but the child has been taken to the residence where the person is and been allowed to visually see and hear the person. Is there an understood rule to Orders set in place? (This after obvious order violations in the past and no consequences to those violations thus far by a judge.)

Re: Protecting my child

You can be very picky about absolute compliance with the order. However, appearing to be overly critical. The real question is why do you object to your child having contact with that person. Unless that person presents a danger to your child objecting to casual contact may be causing you to lose credibility with the court.
