prove child is mine

i have a child with a woman and my name is not on the birth certificate how can i leagaly be put on there to prove that i am the father? i would like joint custody if not full custody.

You need to file a Paternity action as well as an Order to Show Cause for Custody and Visitation at your local court. The court will order a DNA test. If you are the father, you'll pay for the test. Once you find out that you are dad, then the Order to Show Cause will be heard, and you'll likely get joint legal custody and visitation.
